Dr. Keren Sperling and her staff care about your safety and work hard to prevent the spread of infection!

We have always complied with strict OSHA-mandated protocols to maintain a highly sterile environment within our dental office. These guidelines were created to safeguard against the spread of severely contagious diseases such as tuberculosis and measles, and they are equally effective in managing the spread of influenza and coronavirus.

What have we been doing to ensure our patient and employee safety?

Our staff went through a thorough OSHA training and we have implemented strict COVID Health care protocols that are in compliance with the CDC, ADA and AAP recommendations.

Workers Health Screening

Dr. Sperling and all of her employees are being assessed and monitored on a daily basis prior to starting each work day and a strict unforgiving health policy is being enforced.  Everyone has been strictly required to practice social distancing

Patient Health Screening

Prior to treatment, all patients will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and their temperature will be checked in accordance with CDC and American Dental Association recommended guidelines.

Patients who are experiencing possible COVID symptoms (fever, cough, headache, sore throat, chills, nausea, vomiting and difficulty breathing, loss of smell and taste),  or patients who have returned from travel to a country with a CDC Level 3 Travel Health   Notice in the past 14 days- will be asked to reschedule their appointments.

Social Distancing at the office

“Sneeze Guards” were installed at our front desk to create a physical protective barrier between our front staff and patients

Our Patient appointments are spaced apart, allowing us to attend to each patient separately and assure minimal waiting time at the common lobby area.

Our newly remodeled and spacious office is perfectly suited for “social distancing” as the operatory rooms are personal and well isolated.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) and Sterilization Procedures

Dr. Sperling and her staff use PPE as a routine, including: KN95 Masks, Gloves, Protective gowns, eye-protective wear with side protection, face shields, shoe covers and more. These items are discarded between patients or sanitized and disinfected to mitigate any patient-to-patient transmission.

    • Frequent hand washing using soap and water is being implemented, according to CDC regulations.
    • Strict surface cleaning and disinfection are being enforced in each operatory room.
    • All dental instruments are thoroughly cleaned and packed in individual sterile pouches before being heat sterilized in steam autoclave machines.
    • The operatory water is being treated by special disinfecting tablets.
    • We use only Distilled water for our machinery and perform weekly spore tests on our Autoclave machine, ensuring perfect performance for each cycle of sterilization.

Common area Disinfection and Cleaning

- The entire Office and its HVAC system went through a professional cleaning and medical grade disinfection.

Common areas, such as the Lobby and restrooms are disinfected several times a day. This includes: a thorough wipe down of all hard surfaces, such as door handles, door knobs, tables, chairs and front office counters with a CDC-approved medical grade disinfection agent.

We ask that our patients use a hand sanitizer upon arrival at the office.

All magazines were discarded from the front area.

Reducing the Aerosol

Extreme precautions and measures were taken to reduce the Aerosol that is very common at dental practices.

Air Purifiers with medical Grade HEPA filters were installed at the front desk area and at each operatory.

Dr. Sperling purchased several powerful FDA approved Extra-oral and Intra-oral suction machines to be used while performing dental procedures that produce aerosol, such as dental cleaning or surgeries.

Our two well trained and experienced dental assistants, Ana and Lisa, are working as a team, complimenting Dr. Sperling to assure that our patients receive great care and protection at all times.
